The playoffs for the Claddagh League are now set! Claddagh Bowl III and Fianna Bowl I will be contested on July 25th at St. Mary’s College RFC, with each team’s hard work coming to a head.
Claddagh Bowl III will see four teams compete in the playoffs, with the 1st seed South Dublin Panthers (Navy) (12-1) facing the 5th seeded Dublin Red Bows (6-7). The Red Bows automatically progress past the Wild Card round with a forfeit by the North Down Dragons (6-7). The 2nd seed Belfast Trojans (10-3) will take on the 3rd seed UCD (9-4), all for the right to be crown Women’s Flag National Champions
Fianna Bowl I, the first championship for the Women’s Division 1, will see 4th seed Northwest Vipers (3-10) against the 5th seed Belfast Knights (1-12) in the Wild Card round, with the winner moving on to face the 1st seed Louth Mavericks (7-6). Meanwhile, the 2nd seed Dublin City Wolves (7-6) will face the 3rd seed South Dublin Panthers (White) (4-9).
The schedule for the day is as follows:
10:00 am – Fianna Wild Card game
11:30 am – Fianna Semifinal round
1:00 pm – Claddagh Semifinal round
2:30 pm – Fianna Bowl I
4:00 pm – New York Jets School League Finalists Showcase
4:30 pm – Claddagh Bowl III
